Living and working abroad

Today senior lecturer Pieter van Nispen gave a most interesting talk to our CMV students during one of the quarterly conferences of the year 4 curriculum. As someone who has passed long periods of his life outside of the Netherlands, he is the ideal speaker on issues dealing with the effects of living and working abroad.
Pieter van Nispen has an impressive CV , is widely known as an expert in the field of culture and internationalisation and apart from that a very good speaker as well.
In fact one hour proved to be too short to deal with all the slides that he had prepared for the lecture.
It was especially the issue of raising children while abroad and the issue of bilingualism that appeared to fascinate a number of the students, concluding from the questions that were asked during and after the lecture.
Here are some of the photos of the session.
